The mission

One aquarium.
A broader view.

Sentinel Vault brings local monitoring and outlet control for my own HYDROS equipment into one practical aquarium overview. The project is complete and functioning in my personal setup. See temperature, alerts, controller status and how fresh the information is, alongside outlet states and controls.

Health visibility includes bus voltage and current, controller temperature and self-test information where available. It is the same practical question behind the other Sentinel projects: can I make the equipment I already own more useful, understandable and affordable to work with?

Why I’m pursuing it

I requested API access from CoralVue for a personal integration. My request was marked resolved. No access was provided, and no resolution was communicated.

The request was closed; the integration challenge remained. That closed door is why I built Sentinel Vault independently. The local HYDROS project is now complete and functioning; the implementation stays private.

Purpose shared. Implementation withheld.
Sentinel Vault’s local HYDROS monitoring and control is complete and functioning in my personal setup. This page shares its purpose and visible capabilities, while keeping the method private. It is not a public release or a promise of support for other equipment.

Questions we can answer

A public purpose.
A restricted effort.

Is this an official HYDROS project?

No. Sentinel Vault is an independent personal project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by CoralVue. HYDROS identifies the third-party equipment being discussed.

Has CoralVue approved API access?

API access has not been provided to me. The local HYDROS project is complete and functioning independently; that does not imply CoralVue API approval or endorsement.

What information can be shown?

Anything your HYDROS exposes to the HYDROS cloud—including aquarium readings, outlet states, alerts, controller status and health information such as bus voltage and current, controller temperature and self-test results. Those are examples, not the full list; available information depends on your equipment and configuration. Sentinel also shows data freshness. The illustration uses example values rather than live readings.

Can I see how it works?

The technical approach and working materials are not published. This is a public project brief, not a technical guide or repository.

Can I use it with my own controller?

No public integration is offered. Compatibility, capabilities and availability are not established by this page.

TelegrahamTested Sentinel is an independent hobby project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Neptune Systems, EcoTech Marine, CoralVue, or Jebao. Third-party names, including Apex, Mobius and HYDROS, identify the products and platforms discussed; they belong to their respective owners. References do not establish compatibility, certification, or manufacturer support.
