Sentinel Flow · Coordinated reef-inspired flow

Different pumps.
A shared reef rhythm.

Sentinel Flow brings flow pumps from different brands together and coordinates them to mimic natural water patterns. It uses real data from 10 reef locations, with timing adjusted to your location—bringing a little more of the reef’s rhythm into your aquarium.

Why I’m doing it

Help your pumps work together.

I want the pumps in an aquarium to work together, even when they come from different brands. Sentinel Flow brings those pumps into one coordinated approach to flow, using real reef data as the starting point.

The idea is to put the equipment you already own to work in a more natural way. With data from 10 reef locations and timing adjusted to your location, the focus is on recreating natural water patterns in an approachable, budget-friendly way.

Sentinel Flow

Real reef data.
Coordinated movement.

Bring pumps from different brands together in one coordinated approach to flow. Sentinel Flow uses real data from 10 reef locations to shape natural water patterns, with the timing adjusted to your location.

What’s established here

The project brings pumps from different brands together, using real data from 10 reef locations to mimic natural water patterns. Timing is adjusted to your location. A published compatibility list will identify the exact pumps and controllers that can be used.

What is still open
Supported pump and controller combinations, data sources, reef location details, timing configuration and safe setup steps still need public documentation. This is not a claim that every pump is compatible.
A clear path forward

Bring the reef’s rhythm home.

Questions & answers

Know what you’re signing up for.

Is Sentinel Flow just a Jebao controller project?

No. Sentinel Flow brings flow pumps from different brands together and coordinates them using natural water patterns. A particular pump investigation does not define the whole project.

What guides the flow patterns?

Real data from 10 reef locations, with timing adjusted to your location. Data sources, location names and the details of how those patterns are translated into pump settings are not yet published on this site.

Will every pump work?

Bringing different brands together does not mean every model is supported. Exact pump, controller and firmware compatibility needs to be documented before choosing equipment for a build.

Can I download it now?

No public software release or setup guide is published here yet. Contact me to ask about the project; no release date is announced.

Have useful details to share?

Equipment model and controller revision details can help frame the investigation.
