Why I’m doing it

Equipment that fits into a broader picture.

I’m exploring Sentinel Link because I want aquarium equipment to feel easier to understand together. The question is whether equipment using EcoTech Marine’s Mobius platform could have a useful place in a broader aquarium overview.

I want to find a practical, budget-minded path using understandable technology. This is still exploration: access, compatibility and a working approach need to be verified before I can say what’s possible.

Sentinel Link

A useful idea.
Open technical questions.

Sentinel Link is an integration exploration, not a released bridge. Protocol access, device support, and a practical architecture still need investigation and verification.

What’s established here

Project purpose: explore aquarium equipment integration. No validated transport, supported device matrix or working bridge is represented here.

What is still open
Protocol access, Bluetooth behavior, potential Wi-Fi paths, reliability and compatibility all require evidence.
A clear path forward

Practical ideas. Careful testing.

01

Start with the familiar

Use established components, documented tools and equipment you already own wherever practical.

02

Test the possibilities

Investigate affordable approaches, record repeatable tests and explain limitations. Compatibility needs evidence.

03

Share what works

Publish useful findings and guides when ready, so others can learn at their own pace. No release date is promised.

Questions & answers

Know what you’re signing up for.

Does it provide Bluetooth or Wi-Fi control?

No such capability is demonstrated or promised here. Bluetooth and potential Wi-Fi approaches are research topics only.

Which devices work?

A verified device and firmware matrix is not available. The name of this project does not establish compatibility with any manufacturer’s products.

Will it replace a manufacturer app or cloud service?

That outcome has not been established. No replacement functionality, release date or continued access to third-party interfaces is promised.

Have useful details to share?

Equipment model and controller revision details can help frame the investigation.
